After already agreeing to rent us an apartment, one of the Hawthorne Group partners broke his word and offered the property to someone else. Alas... I guess a virtual handshake doesnt actually mean anything anymore. Although they have a nice building, these people are only concerned with the bottom line, and have no respect for the people they do business with.This was especially painful as we had already said no to offers on two other apartments, which were already rented to other folks when he told us.
