I am a person to read these reviews with a grain of salt because people can be bad tenants. With that being said, my husband and I are clean and keep to ourselves. We are easy to get along with. We lived here for 1 year. In that year, we dealt with so much. The receptionist, Hallie, was rude the entire time. I don't live here and I never would live here. You take that however you want!
My wife and I were in the Shelley location in a 3 bed 2 bath unit. The unit itself was nice. We signed the lease a few weeks prior to moving in and pointed out some maintenance issues to be fixed before we moved in such as a hanging smoke detector and dysfunctional dead bolt and door latch on the front door. We later noticed there were several other issues of poor maintenance and disrepair: wobbly toilet, loose cabinet hinges, poor attempts to patch holes (walls looked awful), no caulking around the master bath sink, half br... read more
I lived in the Shelley location for three years with no issue. When I moved out, Jamie Carlson the property manager continuously harassed me, charged me illegal charges, and traumatized myself and two young children to the point of legal action. The property had 0 maintenance and the entire lot is constantly covered with animal feces, trash, and damaged signs. This was without a doubt the worst rental experience I ever experienced and would not recommend every considering renting from Hawthorne Gardens.
