I lived in the Shelley location for three years with no issue. When I moved out, Jamie Carlson the property manager continuously harassed me, charged me illegal charges, and traumatized myself and two young children to the point of legal action. The property had 0 maintenance and the entire lot is constantly covered with animal feces, trash, and damaged signs. This was without a doubt the worst rental experience I ever experienced and would not recommend every considering renting from Hawthorne Gardens.
me and my 2 kids were in emergency situation to find a place and Jamie is amazing i called and applied and now we are finally getting a place. a huge stress relief thank you Jamie for giving me a chance to live here i wont let you down i appreciate all you did for me and my kids today thank you cant wait to move in
PLEASE DON'T RENT HERE! Lived here for about a year and honestly it is one of the worst places i've ever rented. The managing staff, especially Jamie is ready to argue. had my card on file so they could automatically take out the rent but they kept on adding additional charges like "parking insurance" and un-named charges. Once we put our leaving notice we left one month paid in advance and Jamie had told us she would give us our rent money back. Now its been a month and still no money. I've lived here for a few years and have really thought hard.And long about posting this, but after today, I feel like people need to know before they give these people your money. The management is ready to argue with you at anytime over just about anything, they're not helpful. And will throw the book at you any chance they will get. I've tried to play nice with them and it worked for a little while. But after years, it's something that you should be weighed aware of before you come here
The office staff are fantastic. They're always very helpful. The apartments are in good repair and the maintenance staff are always prompt and very helpful
