RecommendedHad a wonderful first experience at Hawthorne auto clinic. They helped identify and fix problems caused by another auto shop at a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff that helped us all in the same day!
I dropped off my car to have it inspected for a long travel and am quite impressed with their service, waiting room, and courtesy inspection. They are very professional yet very reasonable when it comes to costs. They have a wonderful waiting room complete with a nice fish tank, magazines to read and comfortable chairs. They even provide free bus passes if one needs to go elsewhere during the repair. I highly recommend them as one of the best auto clinics in Oregon.
Just went here for the first time - we live about an hour away. The service was superb - well worth the drive!

Taking my car to Hawthorne Auto Clinic is always a pleasure. They explain what might be wrong or what needs to be done, charge a fee which I know supports the staff in health care and well-deserved time off, are timely and prompt, and leave the car clean and running smoothly each time. I have never done one of these reviews before, but the care this company showed me was astounding!! I emailed Hawthorne Auto Clinic regarding some concerns about my Toyota Prius. They emailed me throughout the day answering my questions and explaining why and when my dash lights should be on. They continued to email me AFTER HOURS. While other mechanics would say, bring it in and they'll check it, they took the time to explain what may or may not be wrong. Hard-earned credibility developed over decades. If they tell you the frammus needs discribulating, well, that's what it needs. Competent diagnosis, recommendations and mechanical work. And, just as important, competent and friendly customer service. Good folks you'd be happy to have as neighbors. They actually seem to care about their customers and their place in the community. All in all, I'd say Hawthorne Auto Clinic sets the standard for auto repair in the Portland area.
