Everything a coffee shop should be: friendly staff, great coffee, plenty of seating and wonderful ambiance. Ideal place to get work done. We need one of these in Chatham/ Springfield!!
Wonderful spontaneous pit stop on Route 66 journey. I had figs and goat cheese flat bread, husband had Jailhouse turkey club sandwich. We also shared a custard slice. I have tos at I’m impressed, we both are. Lovely and attentive staff. Wonderful place and an amazing view of the square where we sat. If we ever do Route 66 again, we will definitely come back here! Delicious food!
Amazing people, great coffee (I bring my international tour guests for espresso) and a lovely space. Derrick and Debbie are super friendly and take the time to smile and make sure everyone feels welcome.

Hawthorn Tree Coffeehouse is a really nice spot right on the Carlinville square. There’s a lot of seating available, including extra meeting rooms, which makes it a great place to meet with people or hang out for a while. The coffee was very good, and the **Maple Bourbon Pecan** flavor was excellent. They also have a large variety of syrups and drink options, which is nice for a smaller-town coffeehouse.
