Dr Hawkins and staff I have been a patient of Dr. Hawkins for several years as well as my Husband and uncle. I have always been able to see him when I was sick and worked in on more than one occassion. He is genuinely concerned about you. I make it habit to have my questions ready and he takes the time to answer every one of them. He is one of the kindest men I have ever met and his staff are the sweetest girls ever. Doctor is GREAT - Staff is pathetic Dr. Hawkins is a fabulous physician - when you can see him. His staff seems to be under the impression that you are either in need of calling 911 or you can wait a month for an appointment. There is no middle ground. The staff is also apologetically distant and uncaring, while the doctor himself is very personable and appears genuinely concerned. It's a shame he has surrounded himself with these unpleasant people.
Dr. Edward Hawkins I have been a patient of Dr. Hawkins for several years. I have always been able to get in to see him when I was sick. He has worked me in on several occassions. He seems genuinely concerned about your well being. The wait time can be a little long at times, but seeing him is definately worth the wait. He was my grandfather's doctor before he passed away. I have used Dr Hawkins in the past and I was not too impressed. I would call because I was sick and they would try and give me an appointment two weeks later. The wait time whether you had an appointment or even if they were trying to work you in was way too long. If they were trying to work you in, you might as well prepare to spend the day waiting to be seen. Dr Hawkins is very good and he cares about his patients. Just the wait time is the reason I left.
