I called today because I was billed for medical service from a mainland pathologist office for last year's services and couldn't understand why. Summer patiently explained why and I was able to process my payment today. Thank you for the great service.
Refused to apply approvals on file while in multi-organ failure, created internal notes telling employees not to take my calls, even after a state hearing in favor of approval, HMSA continued to deny all claims. I am permanently disabled and financially destitute after HMSA destroyed my families lives. Not a new problem, HMSA is responsible for my son's death by refusing medical care and obstructing continuity of care and consistent access to seizure medications. Charged me twice accidentally for the same month, didn't acknowledge it until I sent them credit card statements, continued to ignore me until I won a credit card dispute, and then after it was resolved by my credit card company and they promised they wouldn't inactivate my plan during the dispute, when I went online to pay, I couldn't pay because my family plan was inactivated. So I'm currently not insured, and it's a US Healthcare Marketplace plan! Isn't that illegal? I have no words.
3days, 4 hours of telephone hold time. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONES! No method to request a callback, no way to get issues resolved. What happened? I remember there was a time when someone always answered the phone after a short hold time. AUWE to management for trying to save money and screwing up this department.
