I would not recommend using this realty company. I usually do not like writing bad reviews on anybody or any business, but I need to express my disappointment with this realty franchise. If anyone who has followed my reviews can basically figure out that I will not bash anyone or any business on any review site. I have never encountered any situation or circumstance where I really felt the need to express my frustration publicly before, till now. Spoke with Renee, who is the broker for the Puna area. I was amazed at her knowledge and helpfulness. She really took the time to put me at ease and answer my questions. Very nice person.
I booked a beach front cottage in Hana from Hawaii Life 2 months in advance. When my family arrived at the check-time, there was already a family there and apparently they double-booked the property without informing me until I arrived. Then they refused to refund my money stating 'accommodations subject to change'. So they got someone else's money and kept mine. I am currently pursuing a refund via my credit card company and Hawaii-Life is disputing that! Find someone else to do business with.
