About this business

The Haven of Our Lady of Peace is a 120-bed nursing home operated by Sacred Heart Health System and Methodist Homes for the Aging. The Haven's history goes back to 1939 when a brave group of Carmelite Sisters began caring for Pensacola seniors at a home overlooking Perdido Bay.

Not impressed at all. My mother was at the Haven 1 or the 3 weeks for care after hospital care. She was not getting taken care of and was getting bruises and injuries. No one would tell you how this is happening. Staff are only there for a paycheck. They do not care at all. They cannot even tell you about your love ones care through out the day. We pulled my mother out 2 weeks early. Do not put your loved ones in the Haven at Pensacola.

Needs an overhaul. Good staff but not efficient in patient care and attention. Coming from care at SHH was a let down. I was in the Haven last year at this time and had a totally different experience. The staff is very very nice, but you need to give them a little boost and make them feel what they’re doing is wonderful.

My wife had the worst treatment there. She layed in the bed for a week and no one ever checked her blood/sugar. The woman is diabetic. She called me one night and said ," she couldn't reach her food". The day shift tried to be some what accommodating, however The night staff is horrible. No response from the call button. The room she was in (107) had a sticky carpet which was never cleaned. Yes, I did speak to the supervisor. He said he would "get right on it ". No change. Absolutely horrible place.

Beware of this place! Its no longer owned by Sacred Heart. All the great nurses and staff left. Its under a Jewish Owner and it's all about money. The staff up to the Admin and DON, Nurses and the CNAs "lie" they are rude, they have no empathy and it shows on their faces it's just a small pay check to them. There's no comparison when Sacred owned it. They will leave your loved ones lay there for hrs without checking on them, they push their tray up against the wall with their drink and food on it. The Director of nursing took... read more
