There truly is no other program like The Haven. I have been to many programs all over the country and none can compare to The Haven. Sure it definitely isn't the most fancy place, most comfortable or most relaxing always but it is truly a place to find one's self. The relationship's I gained with the staff, clients and the alumni have taught me what real friends are made of. I spent 24 hours there. It is a very punitive program. Most of the residents seemed to be court ordered. They make males sleep in the basement with no privacy and very little personal space. They make you apply for food stamps even though you are paying them. There is no clinical or medical staff to speak of. The program director is Just a LCSW.
Today marks 9 years of sobriety for me. Free from drugs and alcohol and I owe a huge part of that to the Haven and staff. Thank you for giving me the tools I needed to live a healthy, happy, joyous, and free life. I've been sober since I spent my first day there and I'll never forget that. Thank you ������
