We're also a walk-in make & take craft studio where you can create a one-of-a-kind piece with your very own hands! In addition to items made locally by our shop, we also feature awesome goods from other talented folks across the state of Iowa. You'll find unique home decor, industrial & architectural salvage, repurposed & painted furniture and more! Our craft studio is available for private parties by appointment.

Katie is awesome and easy going which creates a fun atmosphere for a girls night out! Would definitely recommend and looking forward to going back again :)
We had so much fun painting and adding small details to our cupcakes boxes. I took my 3 and 4 year olds in for some creative time on a Thursday afternoon. The customer service was amazing. I found prices were affordable based on the project. AND I didn't have to clean up any of the mess!
I just did my first class and loved it! Katie is amazing! She was very organized and taught a great class. The shop is adorable and has a variety of cute items.
Loved, loved, loved the sign 101 class. It feels so good to be creative. Katie is a great teacher, thorough, patient and most importantly she made it fun. I definitely recommend. You will not be disappointed!
I went to hatchlings and hens for the first time today for the signs 101 class and had a great time!! The store is super cute! I can't wait to go back for more crafting!!

We had such a great time at Hatchlings & Hens for my daughters birthday. They were super excited and jumped right in to making their crafts. We will definitely be coming back soon!
If you have a chance to take one of their classes, TAKE IT!! Katie is so helpful and walks you through each step. My friend and I took the Signs 101 class and had a blast! Great excuse to spend (kid free) time together �Now I need to go back and do some shopping too!
