My mom has been seeing him for 10 + years. She has been forgetting mor and more at a rather fast decline this last year. Dr Frey has watched this decline yet he still loads her up 3x a day with gabapentin. She doesn't need it she takes it because her " doctor " prescribed it. How does a "GOOD " doctor prescribe things and watch the horrible effects and still smile at you and say thank you, take care , as you walk out the door ? Malicious . My grandma had this dr for a few years while she lived in Hastings. He wasn’t very great with her symptoms and I feel left a lot unchecked. When she got deathly sick I called and asked for him to go visit her in the hospital and I was never reached back out to. Her old dr in GI would go up and visit her in the hospital whenever my gran was there. This dr lacks a certain level of care for his elderly patients and seems to dismiss them. I’d look elsewhere for care.

Dr. Frey provided me with excellent and knowledgeable medical care on every occasion. If I moved back to Hastings, I would continue to see Dr. Frey for all my medical needs.

My mother 65 years old had a chronic cough for years that Dr. Frey said was allergies. Fast forward 2 years later she developed swallowing difficulty & choking. He blamed this on her prior stroke. After my father begged for a chest x-ray it was severely abnormal. She then had a CT which showed a large lung & esophageal mass. She then had biopsies which did reveal cancer.
