I sat at the chef’s counter. It was a phenomenal experience. Chef Alex and his team went above and beyond to make my experience memorable. It was my first time at the restaurant I was visiting from Connecticut. I will visit again. Amazing, thank you!
Communication is terrible **Food was excellent** I’m torn on this review because the food was great the experience was underwhelming. We reserved the chef’s counter. However, when we arrived we were sat at the counter, no explanation of menu options. We had to ask for the chef’s tasting menu, we were not offered it. No run down of the specials, just “are you ready to order”. So we again had to ask for recommendations. Sometimes, the plate clearing felt a little rushed. We still had bites on the plates and we're approached to clear them, almost like they had orders to move these tables. Food was outstanding though and would have been more enjoyable without being rushed. Exceptional service, albeit a little over zealous. Definitely would eat here again. The artichokes are abgame changer as was the tomato pasta.
Our experience at HaSalon was definitely a mixed one. On one hand, it was incredible to be in a space with a visibly Jewish/Israeli crowd, where I felt especially safe given the current political climate. The music was great, and the energy throughout the night was unmatched by anything I’ve experienced. The service was also excellent and constant.
