eye care excellence I've had good experiences at both the Harvard Square and Porter Square locations of Harvard Square Eye Care. The doctors and staff are professional and patient. I've worn glasses and contacts for over 20 years and I can honestly say that my experience here was excellent. Dr. D. worked with me to find a pair of glasses that worked with my prescription, face shape and personal style. She must have tried 20 glasses on me before we found a pair that really worked. what a great place These guys were great. The staff was super friendly and accommodating to my schedule in regards to making an appointment, and were more so when I got to the office. I was seen promptly, and the exam was nice and quick, yet thorough. After the exam, the doctor helped me pick out some frames (offering some helpful advice as to what looked good and what didn't).

best exam ever This is honestly the best eye care experience I have ever had. I went in because I saw their huge selection on the website. It turns out my prescription is 3 years old and no longer valid. I got a full exam and with my insurance ended up paying $10 for an exam. But the part that blew me way was their willingness to help me right then and there. Once we discovered my prescription wasn't valid they told me to go have a cup of coffee and they would squeeze me into the booked schedule in 20 minutes. I was floored.... read more
A great experience In the need for some new glasses before years end I found Harvard Square Eye Care under Boston Magazine's Best of Boston. I figured I would give 'em a try as my last eye doctor was just OK with service and selection. I was very happy with their doctors, excellent caring services and they had a good selection of glasses. I found that their prices were reasonable. I never had better vision with my new progressive lenses (now sure what they put in for lenses but they are awesome). The "Cost" of Harvard Phenomenal Physician! Beautiful facility! VERY EXPENSIVE - in reference to the SALES staff (and yes they are salesmen) as the level of professionalism was shaky at best, the cost of my glasses almost gave me heart failure and the fact that the $900 quote didn't seem to phase the attendant makes me think perhaps that figure is an average.... I felt like I was buying a used car from the sketchiest of shysters!
