In 1964, when Harold Hartzler made the decision to stop using chemical pesticides and herbicides on his farm, it was not a marketing decision. He did it because he had witnessed the effect of chemical run-off on a neighboring farm after a storm. It was then that Harold decided to farm only "as Nature Intended". Thank you Hartzler Dairy! I am lactose intolerant and I recently visited your store to get ice cream for my husband. I saw a sign that said a lot of lactose intolerant people are able to consume your products. I took a chance because I've not had these products in years. I've eaten your ice cream, custard, and milk with no side effects. I'm so happy I could cry! Thank you so much this is truly a gift from God!
