Shantel and her staff are responsible for getting my mother walking again. After a fall she didn’t respond well to physical therapy. Once back at Hartland the physical therapists were amazed at her progress and the facility. The environment is very much like family. They know each resident so well and tailor care to best meet those needs.

Our father was at Hartland Specialty Care for more than two years. Shantel Averhart and her care team were always respectful in allowing as much independence as Dad was able to enjoy. This permitted him to retain his identity and dignity. As his care needs increased, the caregivers met his personal needs. The staff at Heartland assisted living and memory care facility are knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely compassionate. It is clear that they have a true calling to care for others, and they treat every resident with patience, respect, and dignity. I never worried about my mom being cared for. My mom has only been at Hartland for approximately 3 months and I have never seen her look as well as she does now. She is well groomed and taken care of every day. It is so wonderful to be able to visit my mom in a clean, cheery, and bright room that smells fresh!
