I am upset with HH emergency rooms treatment of my elderly mother. She was taken to the ED on a Monday morning and left on a cot in the hallway till Wednesday morning when she was transferred to a rehab. Since Monday evening, she is still in a delirium and hopefully we’ll start getting out of it due to what I believe is the treatment in the hallway at Hartford hospital you had to find a nurse nobody was stopping by. I'm writing this because the patient advocate responded that all standard procedures were followed. 1. When anesthesia was administered during my first eye surgery it was so painful that I sat up on the table screaming and swearing so the anesthesiologist massaged the anesthesia up my forearm. 2. I kept insisting that the nurse insert the needle in my elbow joint to avoid what happened during my first surgery; she kept refusing until another nurse did as I requested. The last time I was at Hartford Hospital I had a very good experience on the floor that I was on. This visit I came in through the ER amd my experiences was terrible. I spent more than 12 hours in a hallway bed..It was bright,.loud, and nursing staff was largely unavailable. I did not askfor anything for the first 10 hours amd when I finally could not take the noise and light's in order to sleep even for an hour, I waited an hour for a nurse to respond. Epilepsy unit is good and best nurses and very kind and they are good on getting patients what they need there very helpful on patients and I recommend the EMU unit in hartford awesome They are very nice best expirence for me and other patients
Terrible communication. Putting my sister in danger, knowingly sending her back to a severely negligent Rehab center.
