Everybody here took great care of me, I’d give a million stars if I could. I wish I remembered all my doctors and nurses names to thank them all but I was in rough shape when I came in. Amazing hospital with the greatest people
I was unaware of how delightful a restroom could smell until I had to utilize this one, due to my upcoming third triple bypass. The fragrance was like cherries mixed with citrus and pine! The restroom itself was impeccable in maintaince and cleanliness. I Highly recomend using these lavatorial facilities at any possible oppertunity.
Very friendly staff from the moment you walk in til discharge, even though I came in thinking I was possibly on the way to a heart attack they quick ruled that out. Not at any time was I made to feel silly for worrying about every symptom, every nurse and doctor, X-ray tech, and all the staff took my care seriously.
This is your typical, American health care in action inside an urban setting in the 2020's--overworked and understaffed in the emergency section, excellent with pre-arranged surgeries or complex care like cancer treatment at Helen&Harry Gray Cancer Center, and regarding the psychiatric department at IOL, your mileage may vary there, especially if you're female and present as emotionally upset, liable to come out of it marked with a personality disorder within an hour. Absolutely unacceptable experience at Hartford Hospital Emergency Department. We came in for a genuine emergency, yet the patient was left completely unattended for hours. Despite repeatedly asking for nurse assistance, no one came for over 20 minutes each time. The patient waited 6 hours without a single check‑in, and the doctor finally showed up after 12 hours.
