I WAS IN FOR A SHORT STAY A LITTLE OVER 24 HOURS. THE STAFF FOR THE MOST PART ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY CONSIDERATE. THIS GRADE IS GIVEN BECAUSE OF THE FACILITY AND DIRECTED TO THOSE THAT ARE IN CHARGE. ON ARRIVING THE INTAKE CREW WERE CORDIAL AND COLD AT FIRST BUT SOON WARMED UP. THAT WAS THE BEGINNING AND ONCE ON UN IT THE NIGHTMARE BEGAN. If you are ever planning on admitting yourself or a family member to Harsha Behavioral Center DONT!! I will tell you that every unit is infested with ants, cockroaches, and many other bugs. A lot of them are in patients rooms and patients find bugs being in their food. Some staff members have been seen hitting the child patients. The geriatric patients will be locked in their rooms alone for hours on end. Staffing is also terrible to the point patients do not do anything but watch tv all day. Please get help elsewhere! The only good about the place is that the providers listen. Groups are supposed to be oriented about health habits and positive outlook. Instead, they have the Behavioral Health Techs run groups that are supposed to be an hour. No, they read off of a piece of paper for 10 minutes and then just turn on the TV to watch movies. it was all right but some of the kids there were very rude sum staff was really sweet I forgot the names but I always get moved rooms I don't recommend you send them by experience I went twice no shower curtains barely any cleaning supplies there was many kid screaming and fights hitting screaming selfish kids getting shots and put in the chair and than sleeping for hours on end this place is crazy don't recommend
