My daughter went to this facility from an er eval. They did not administer meds for first 3 dose she would have had there and when they did administer meds the only gave meds they wanted her to have without conferring with her med facilitator outside of their care. At discharge it was extremely unorganized . I did not speak to the doctor at all upon requesting to 2 different people . They also tried discharging my child without her coat and shoes . My stepdad was there in March they did nothing for him. He wasn’t on his medicine that he was supposed to be taken from his psychiatrist they did nothing but make him worse.My mom had to stay home from her job to take care of him they gave him medicine that is schizophrenic takes and he’s not a schizophrenic he came home paranoid and freaking out . We have documents of his stay and what they all gave him and it was not the medicine he was supposed to be taken. Would not recommend sending anyone here. Now there trying to sue ... read more
Do not send your loved ones here!!! My 20 yr old daughter was sent here by Goshen Hospital because she had the Flu and apparently not one institution or hospital in Elkhart or surrounding counties could take her because of the Flu. She was sent there even when we expressed concerns for transportation is almost a 4 hr drive from Elkhart they promised that someone will contact me to make sure someone will be there to pick her up for discharge but it never happened. When I was there, I was put into a full restrain with multiple staff members because I refused to take a hair tie off my wrist (which I'd been told by other staff half an hour earlier was not an issue), and pulled my arm away when they tried to forcibly remove it. I was put on unit restriction and forced to study an outdated book on BPD and answer comprehension questions to said book.
I advise anyone with any sort of mental health issue to steer clear of Harsha as it is nothing more than a modern day torture chamber..my girlfriend was there for almost 18 days and they accomplished absolutely nothing..except bleeding the Indiana medicaid system and isolating her from friends and family members..as soon as I was able to get her out we admitted her to a wonderful establishment, Stepping Stones in Evansville and within a week they had her on the correct medication and now we are good to go...there is a signif... read more
