Had required sewer lateral work to do as mandated by the City of Berkeley. Got multiple quotes. This one was the lowest at $4500 for the required work. Final tally: $9000 - ouch! While the quote states that extra work may be required to pass test, no information was provided to us while the work was actually happening. We just got a bill for double the cost without explanation. You can imagine the shock. No business should be allowed to double costs without a word of warning and/or discussion. (HC) even as a last resort. Contracted them to install two HVAC systems. They installed the ruff and when it came time to do the final, startup,,, they stated several reasons over several phone calls they high lights are,,, they needed more money, they don't work in the area and the original contract was whom they have a contractor with not the home owner, so they don't have to honor it.
