George acted as buyer's broker for our recent purchase and in a previous purchase he represented the seller. In both cases George went above and beyond to assure that the closing process was carried out smoothly. He is honest, clear and diligent and has in depth knowledge of the local market. I highly recommend him.
George is very professional but also relaxed and informal. He returns messages promptly. He carefully read through even the fine print in any offer in order to advise me appropriately. He was willing to work with other brokers. He had a judicious sense of how to proceed. He's honest and straight forward. I didn't have to worry that there was going to be some "hidden" problem somewhere. Things went smoothly. He knew his business.
Very responsive and willing to get things done---has extensive knowledge of history of houses in his portfolio and completely honest and upfront about any and all issues involving the properties he lists. Very fair about appraisals and values of homes on the Island. He is a great Agent---Sellers can feel secure that George is giving them an honest, true value of their property and prospective buyers can trust that when George tells them what they are buying, it IS what they are buying---everything is up front with George.
A knowledgeable Professional that has lived on Vinalhaven for nearly 40 years. An authentic individual that goes the extra mile in finding answers to any questions and is a good source for Historical information as well as reputable contractors.
George has helped me buy a listing, and also has listed my home for me. He's willing to show a property on a drop of a dime. You can be sure he will find all available information on one of his own listings, or a listing by another agency. I personally enjoy doing business with George.
george is very attentive to details and always willing to help..he facilitates the many processes involved in selling a house..like being the taxi service for the multitude of people ..inspectors..appraisers..ect.ect..from ferry service to property back to ferry service..he even winterized the plumbing after a december inspection..all above and beyond his responsibilities as my realtor...i call george my friend now..highly reccomend him to anyone looking for a realtor..john
George is the type of real estate broker that will take the time to listen to your needs in purchasing a home. He is honest and truthful always taking the road of caution as not to misinform a buyer. George also works with other agents on island working as a co-broker or adviser although I didn't use that service. My next house will be through George. Highly recommended.
