Ted Blady died of congestive heart failure and he had it for decades. Dr. York had treated the condition and provided my father with good quality of life. Upon his retirement my father eventually inherited Dr. Vargo from HMC. Dr. Vargo watched him bloat through several appointments, ignoring his complaints and medical history, until the congestion killed him by arresting his heart with internal pressure from fluid buildup.
