First, her made me sign a waiver to be seen without a nurse present during examination. He knew based on test results that I had a dead kidney, yet used his OWN surgicenter to insert stint. This was an unnecessary, useless procedure. When he took it out much earlier than he indicated,I immediately was in unbearable pain. Dr. Slavick told us he was going to take care of my family member but it was time to perform procedure, he just transferred her care to some random other doctor without EVER discussing it with the family or notifying us of what was going on. I really do believe he acted unprofessionally and without any regard for my family member and the wishes of the family. Myself and other family members and friends have been going to Dr. Slavick for many years. He is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor. He has patience and compassion with all his patients and is trusted by all who go to him as his patient. He may have a full office of patients and you call with a condition that needs you to be seen by him that day and he will squeeze you in to see him.
I have been a patient with Dr. Slavick for years. He is the only Urologist I will go to as he is knowledgeable and friendly and willing to listen to what i have to tell him and finds the problem and takes care of it. I would recommend him to all men or women who needs to see an Urologist.
Dr Slavick is the only Urologist in my health plan, so I had no choice but to see him. He was unprofessional, unwilling to answer questions I had, and completely irresponsible in his handling of my situation. Eventually he became abusive, berating me over the phone, saying I was rude to his staff. My feeling is that Dr Slavick has passed his prime and needs to retire. I believe he is only in this profession for money. His staff members are just as rude and unprofessional.
