RecommendedBefore considering one of the larger hotels on the island, give Harriet's House a try. I came across them by accident a few years ago and was thoroughly impressed. Yesterday, they were also accommodating at the last minute, where I was able to get a room at a very fair price. The rooms are clean and cozy. The staff is beyond friendly. Even better--the property is on a quiet street outside of town. An excellent establishment, overall.
I loved this place within 10 seconds. INSANELY clean. Very “you are part of the family” vibes. Got a great rate but I would pay whatever the normal one is for this kinda nice on the island
Our favorite place to stay on the Bay! We found it by recommendation a few years ago after a day trip turned into wanting to stay overnight. The rooms are always so clean (which should be a given but some other places on the island are not this way) and kept up. The best part is the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Thank you for being such a great establishment!

Very impressed with the cleanliness and customer service with this great place to stay at PIB. I’ve stayed with them yearly for approx 5-6 years and they never disappoint. Close to amenities and always clean and family friendly. Highly recommend this family owned business!!!!
This was our 2nd year renting at Harriet’s House over Memorial Day Weekend. Best location, extremely clean rooms and the ownership couldn’t be more hospitable. In fact we enjoyed it so much last year, we invited 3 couples to join us this year! On a side note, we left a high quality, all-weather Harley Davidson jacket at the Catawba Inn and didn’t realize it until we had already headed home.
