This experience came down to trust, honesty, and not feeling misled throughout the entire process. From the beginning, something felt off. Took my car in for ac diagnostics and evap diagnostics. They had my car for 6 hours. I picked it up and they charged me for the ac diagnostics, but didn't diagnose it! The mechanic said that it needed an ac service test, which they didn't do. Not sure why, that's what we were expecting. I called and spoke to the manager, Elliot, and he agreed he didn't communicate properly to the mechanic what needed to be done. They gave me a print out of the parts and labor quote for the evap. We brought our car in for a routine oil change, for which they charged $230, only to have it returned with a broken hood release latch. They had no trouble opening the hood this morning to change the oil. They then had the audacity to charge a $70 diagnostic fee because they realized they had broken the mechanism and feared they couldn't reopen it once closed.
