One of, if not the best psychiatrist in Flagstaff, AZ and surrounding areas. My daughter had to be inpatient at Flagstaff Medical Center when she was 18 on the behavioral health ward. Since I worked in the Behavioral Health department, no counselors would see her because they were "uncomfortable". Dr. Figueroa not only got her on the correct medication for her depression and monitored that, he also saw her every day, at least twice for 1 hour for therapy on his own. I too have had a wonderful experience being treated by Dr. Figueroa. He has helped me deal with my mental illness and has also helped me cope with the recent loss of my father (among other issues). I am very grateful for his compassion and professionalism.
For over 8 years I have always had this brilliant doctor make me feel like I am a wonderful human being. His office staff is honest and caring.
Dr. Figueroa has been my Doctor and my husband's doctor for years. He helped me through a very difficult time at work where I was discriminated against because of being a woman going through peri-menopause and because I have a mental illness. (This was the US government, where I did not expect to be discriminated against since I had done a great job there for almost 10 years. I had a completely different experience with Dr. Figueroa and his staff. First, Dr. F is an amazing doctor. He makes me feel very comfortable and I can discuss anything with him. His staff have always been great, and have handled any issue I have had quickly and efficiently. And frankly, they have the right combination of professionalism and personal touch, they know my name and they remember details about my life. My experience with Dr. Figueroa was fine. It's when I need a new prescription that he wouldn't fill it in less than 5 days. If you run out of medication you're screwed. He won't budge and his staff is rude about it. They told me running out of medication is not considered an urgent matter. So you will feel awful for 5 or more days because they don't care enough to help. Whatever you do, don't lose a prescription or run out of medication!!! The doctor won't call you back!! This is not a doctor I will go to again!
