I have hypothyroidism and I've been out of my thyroid medication for quite some time. I have been relying on an old thyroid prescription to get by until I can get a refill. I've called the office numerous times about refilling my prescription so that I can get my 6 week labs done and have my appointment. But they never send my prescription or return my calls when I leave a message. And getting ahold of the nurse is impossible because she is rarely at her desk. They have helped me alot. From helping me diet wise with a diabetic educator. To helping me find ways to get my prescriptions cheaper. When possible. The staff is alway nice and will try to help you if and when possible. I have been with them for nearly 3 years now.
I appreciate the kindness of the providers do not get me wrong they are kind even come off as compassionate. However as a current patient who just had major surgery and who still experiences pain on a day to day basis I can’t help but notice no matter how serious the situation when you are an African American patient there is medical bias that when you are hurting and not being relieved you can’t help but notice there is bias. kacy adherhold is the worst lol. gets mad at me for not counting carbs as if it matters with an a1c of under 6. horrible bedside manner. nobody answers the phone, or works more than 2 days a week, and has absolutely no support for any type one diabetic ever. my therapist sent me here because they advertise having so much for us type ones, but theres nothing. a shell of a health practice. absolutely no essential resources provided to any patient that isnt a type two.
