Mrs Katie is awesome, she is not just giving speech therapy, but teaching children with intellectual disabilities how to problem solve, to critically think, and to use their words. Over the past 5 years my daughter no longer says” I don’t know” but rather she will come up with solutions. She is a real therapist who is dedicated to reaching her patients and works well with our other home speech therapist. My 15 year old son has seen Katie since March of last year and it’s been the best experience! In just a year and a half he’s improved so much that he moved from his small private school into a public school with an easy transition. His challenges are social pragmatic with articulation, lip palsy. He has improved 100 percent with her being his speech therapist. He’s making eye contact with confidence with peers and teachers. Katie has been working with our kiddo for a little over a year for a speech delay. We noticed a huge difference in not only his speech, but also his frustration level, after only a few weeks. She makes sure to spend time with us at the end of each session to talk about any concerns we have, progress thats been made, and give us things to work on at home with him. She's always incredibly flexible with our schedule. We love Ms. Katie and recommend her to everyone we know.
Our son, Gunnar (5 years old), has been Katie’s patient for almost 2 years for speech therapy. He has shown significant improvement in his speech Over this time. Katie travels to my son’s school for his therapy sessions each week. Katie does a great job connecting with our son and has helped him build the confidence he needs to continue to push himself outside the therapy sessions.
