I chose this ‘place’ primarily due to its location. BIG mistake! Even if I had driven to a salon 2 hours away, spent 2 hours doing my hair, and driven the 2 hours back, it would not have amounted to the EIGHT hours I spent doing little more than waiting at Harlem’s! The service is terrible, staff is RUDE, entire site has an unprofessional "home girl" atmosphere, and the owner needs to master qualities needed to actually MANAGE, instead of participating in inappropriate banter with the rest of the staff. My 1st experience with them six years ago was bad. My stylist showed up 2 hours late on my Wedding day. The only problem i had prior to that was that the shampoo girls were not professional. I figured i would give the salon another try. Thinking the owner would have things under control. Boy was I wrong. My first visit back was a disaster. They have an intercom system in the basement that is hard to understand. They also have a new ticket system that nobody took the time to explain.
