Takes time to answer questions. He is very busy and hard to get a follow an urgent appointment. My doctor called him personally to get me in.
Dr. Murthy insists upon lockstep procedures, and is dismissive of facts and data. He seems insensitive to the individual patient's needs and concerns. He dismissed several of my concerns. Amber (at the front desk) seems overly busied, seeking and recording obscure data from the internet, while not maintaining a helpful attitude toward the patient, or for that matter, to the doctor. It was difficult to get an appointment, with long wait times. The billing was for a long appointment, despite a very brief encounter.
Great previous visit and sleep study. Now having to wait 2 months for urgent appointment...
Phone calls asking for prompt response unanswered for 6days. When I called back, Amber said she was too busy to return calls. Ditto for Rx refills faxed to them. iMHO she is a poor representative of a competent, well run medical practice. I suspect, although he may be well qualified, dr murthy is too invested in his sleep clinic and role as hospitalist to devote sufficient time/thought to patients in his practice
Front office without mask. This is a pulmonary practice and their front staff was not wearing mask. When I asked why, reply was: "Don't worry! I have been here for 3 minutes. Will wear it later!!" Several older patients were sitting in the waiting room!
Dr. Murthy is great he takes his time he explains things and makes sure you understand. The only problem is he has a lot of patients and not enough time to see them all.
I have been really impressed with Dr. Murthy in the last 18 months of treatment. He has been responsive, and knowledgeable, and truly cares about my treatment.
