One of the most inefficient government agencies I've ever had to deal with. The amount of time spent on the "little" guys, is appalling. They wasted weeks of my time to review my permit then only came out for a site visit for less than 20 seconds (not exaggerating) and issued me 15k worth of tests on my septic tank. My husband was in distress needing his birth certificate ASAP. We called ahead to make sure we had everything to get a copy the same day. Gentleman at the front desk was the absolute GOAT. He remembered us from the phone call and we got what we needed. Shout out to him and the entire department of Vital Records.
If you need an alcohol assessment due to a court order, the department will automatically place you in an outpatient treatment plan. It does not matter if a negative sample was submitted. Staff are nice for the most part. Parking can be hard to find even with the parking lot.
Absolute trash. Make sure you get everything in writing when dealing with any sort of property related tasks and septic systems. A lot of "Might's and Maybes" when it comes to septic related setbacks and placements in regard to a ground mounted solar array. Had to force a response via the MD Secretary of the Health Department and County Council. I do not recommend these people at all. Unprofessional, Unhelpful, and Lazy individuals who are not interested in doing their job.
Easy I drive an hour just because the customer service is so professional and fast I appreciate great service less than 20 minutes to get a birth certificate I couldn’t believe it
