I was a difficult candidate for cataract surgery. But Dr. Ailani walked me through the journey of slow healing, extremely dry eyes, and secondary cataracts. Dr. Ailani understood I wanted to see so delayed surgery on my second eye for thirteen months. He saw me countless times until my first eye had healed enough to schedule surgery on my second eye. Soon, I will have 20 20 vision. Each time I see Dr. Ailani, he asks 'Do you have any questions?' How many surgeons ask that?
Dr. Ailani is the consummate professional and I knew my cataract surgery would be a breeze because he was my surgeon and I had the utmost trust in him. I have been going to him for quite a few years and have always found him to be very detailed, patient, personable, and kind. Dr. Ailani always explains everything in detail and did so before and during the surgery with his very calm and soothing voice, which helped so much.

I was seeing some Ophthalmologist in Fairfax for my Glaucoma and had bad experience with their overall clinic practiceso until a friend referred me to Dr. Ailani. Went to Dr Ailani for cataract surgery. I chose the high option lens so I would not need glasses after surgery. It was easy and painless. Everything is explained in advance. I had one eye done and feel as if someone has cleaned the windows and turned on the light.one day post op and I can’t wait to get the other eye done. Have total trust in his ability, confidence, and compassion. The surgery center staff is great.
