Nice but a bit snooty & pricey The Hare & Hound Pub in Landrum is a neat little establishment. They always have beautiful plantings outside and the interior is lovely with the old brick. The menu has changed a few times over the past several years, and in my opinion, those changes weren't for the better. They used to have a shepard's pie that was "to die for"! But that's off the menu now. Basically the prices just got too high and the wait staff got too snotty. Nice to visit but not worth the $$.
Melanie This is a really great place to eat and visit. Nice atmosphere. They have a really good food! The desserts are to die for...especially the fried cheesecake!!! Gotta try this place.
Not as good anymore We've been going here while competing at horse trials for years, and I have to say it's not as good as it used to be. They've significantly cut down their vegetarian options, too.
RecommendedLandrum is a great place to visit and part of our visits to Landrum is a stop at the Hare and Hound. The portions will fill you up but also leaves enough room for their bread pudding, which changes. Service here is generally pretty good. We had one night where the server was off, but the team stepped up for her. I recommend the pork chop and shepherds pie.
