I booked an appointment with dr lakshinie gunasiri after confirming she could provide the service needed for my children’s NDIS documentation. I paid deposits, completed paperwork, and waited months for the appointment. This is the most unprofessional unreliable clinic i have ever come across! My child was on a waiting list for 3 months and to finally get the call to say we have an appointment date only to be CANCELLED without calling or notifying me. I waited so long for this appointment and today was told we canceled your appointment because we needed you to pay a deposit and wasn’t told about it and didn’t even get the call to say we are canceling the appointment. Unbelievable and unreliable

On our second visit to this Dr she belittled me in front of my child as I was unable to answer her questions regarding how my daughter felt on a certain medication, and did not assist with any follow-up questions. She did not once direct the question to my daughter, and threatened to end our visit due to my being emotional without the desperately needed prescription. Incredibly rude and not understanding of neurodivergent families. I have lodged a complaint twice with no response.

One of the worst experiences I've had with any Dr, especially in childrens development. They charge $550 for an appointment. Dr Gunasiri did not even greet us at the door. She then went on to spend over 10 minutes of our session reading reports she should have read before hand. My daughter having special needs was very excited, she was trying to get Dr Gunasiri attention. She was saying doctor in different ways to ger dr Gunasiri attention, she was not acknowledged once. Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I had a deeply upsetting experience with this pediatrician that I feel compelled to share. My daughter and I arrived for our appointment fifteen minutes late after receiving a call from the receptionist confirming that the doctor would still see us if we arrived within that window.
