Group of 7 walked in, 2 adults and 5 under age 14.... We all feasted...from soups and apps and salad to pasta pizza and calzone...Between 7 of us we ordered 11 different menu items and each was superb.!! Fresh ingredients ( mushrooms, basil, tomatoes...) great service ( and the place was very busy!!), really well priced....and the Happy Italian owner guy even came to our table and sang Happy Birthday...!' A definite repeat!!!!'
I have tried almost everything on the menu. I especially like the puppy drum with crawfish in a lemon butter sauce. Chef Lenny rocks! Master Pastery Chef Laura's desserts are awsome! I highly recommend the Happy Italian.
A wonderful surprise on Jeff highway! Never had such a great meatball sandwich; made with ground turkey and pork! Sauce was not an overpowering marina taste!
I was totally blown away by the lasagna and I am a picky Italian when it comes to my lasagna! Will most definitely be back and next time will try a special and/or dessert - the desserts sound amazing! Hope you have an email list that sends out daily specials like LaBella's does. If not, please consider it - it's annoying to have to call daily to ask what the specials are.
