What is there Not good to say about a place like this? A true renaissance parlor with food, music, sports, spirits, salons... it is a place that offers solution for thirst and hunger for community and consciousness. Happy Dog has a hometown feel with great leadership from its owners and the staff enjoys their role. This is true trickle down economics of gratitude, right to the Heart of Cleveland... And the belly of Clevelanders :)
I love happy dog. For everything they stand for. Although each an every time they've given me terrible service. Apparently they're kitchen closes early on the weekends too. At least when I tried going.
I went for the Hello Violet ep release party, which was GREAT! Had a dog w/ chorizo, Bleu cheese coleslaw, garbanzo bean vegetarian chili, vodka sauerkraut, cucumbers & tots. Delish! Washed it all down with Tito's & cranberry juice. Watched the Tribe win game 4 of The World Series! Also, the Wileys had a good set.
this place is fantastic! awesome dogs, awesome beers, good folks, live music, etc. wish i had one close to home...
Absolutely hit or miss depending on whether you get a nice, attentive bartender or an egomaniac who thinks (s)he's really something special because, ya know, rock n roll, man. I've been treated like royalty here and shit on like a peon. It just depends on who is behind the bar. Drinks are inexpensive and the food is always exactly what you think it's going to be, which is greasy and delicious (or terrible if you don't like that kind of thing. EXCELLENT hot dogs. But 100% NOT WORTH a $5 weekend cover charge. Pro tip: order your food to go- you avoid the cover charge and get delicious dogs that you can appreciate without the screeching!

The Happy Dog is just that. Comfy, Old school bar with great music and the best hot dogs Cleveland.
