DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR I PROMISE YOU WILL REGRET IT. The whole process with Steve has been absolutely hell. For starters the time estimate on the project was 60-75 days turned into 8 months. There were literally weeks between some visits and communications. His excuse was that his crew of 12 become a crew of 3 so if that doesn't tell you all you need to know about how he runs things I don't know what to tell you. Unreliable, unprofessional contractor. Professed to do work beyond his capabilities and charged 50%-100% more than the bid. Brought in unskilled subcontractors who did unprofessional work and damaged expensive new hardwood flooring. Left the job sloppy and unfinished then demanded payment and threatened a lien on home if not paid immediately. Obviously we should have paid attention to previous/negative reviews.
We had Steve (Hansen Renovations) build us a deck November 2023, and I was very satisfied. One thing I noticed about the experience is how customer-focused Steve is. He and his team went above and beyond to make the deck exactly as we wanted it. He has been very professional through the whole process. I am glad we hired him.
Edited: 11/20/23 See pictures. If you don’t mind contractor cutting corners, safety issues, company breaking things and not repairing, mad neighbors….. I didn’t hire this company. Didn’t ask for any of this…. My neighbor hired them to redo their fence….everyone with adjoining fences has had issues. Some still not fixed including me. Friendly crew who got a great start and at a reasonable price. They are very busy bunch though and it took quite some time to get them back for all of the finishing touches.
