Made our South's Best List! Cascading waterfalls and more than 18 miles of trails lined with oak trees make the 7,024-acre park a popular place for an autumn outdoor adventure.
Visit window falls in the winter when it's frozen and beautiful.
This place has tons of waterfalls and trails. My favorite hiking trail is Moore's Knob Trail near the lake. Its a 4 mile loop trail. It takes you to this tower at the top where you can see for miles.
Campsite 50 is a beauty, even if a bit close to access road.
Curvy roads all around, perfect for motorcycles. View from the top is great!
Hike the Moore's Knob loop trail for the BEST view of the Blue Ridge - but do the loop counter-clockwise to climb the steep trail and descend the meandering trail.
Beautiful hikes with views for miles on a clear day. Great place to take in the fall colors. Rock formations defy gravity, hence the name.
