I have been an AKA for almost 5 years. I went to another place first and I can not express how poor everything was. Very recently, I made an appointment with Hanger in Springfield. I am about to receive my prosthetic leg. This has been an awesome experience so far. I am looking forward to many years with this particular Dr. and Staff. I would like to thank the staff. For fixing up a brace for my left foot. Then an arch support for my right foot. The first night at work. I only able to wear them for two hours. The fourth night I wore it all night. I almost cried. Because my back pain went from a 9 to 2 . It has been so long since the pain wasn't there. I've only had them two weeks now. But thank you so much for my releaf from my pain. Didn't have to take any pain pills sleep. What a true blessing.
I've been going to Hanger Clinics for the past 21 years and have always received quality care. I would highly recommend Hanger for anyone who needs a prosthetic device.
If you are a veteran and need inserts fast, DON'T come here. The VA can send you to a different place, they won't tell you that, but this is not your only option. Having a single point of failure and rescheduling 3 times is unprofessional and unacceptable. Will not be using them again. I'm in extreme pain and will have waited almost 3 months by the time this is all said and done. Their receptionists don't seem to have much sympathy either. Not impressed.
