While I want to acknowledge that Yeshua has been extremely kind and informative, that does not make up for the repeated failures, lack of communication, and unprofessional handling of my case by this company. Updated! After posting our initial review, we received a quick and professional response from Hanger Clinic, and we truly appreciate their willingness to address our concerns. While this was a frustrating and emotional experience for us as first-time parents, we now better understand that the issue stemmed from a breakdown in communication and the complexities of insurance billing, not necessarily bad intent. We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience here. During our appointment, we asked very clearly and repeatedly asked how much the helmet would cost with insurance and without insurance. The staff told us it would be $2,100, and that we’d just have to “see how much insurance would cover” of that amount. At no point did they mention that insurance would actually make the total cost go up! Extremely disappointed with Hanger Clinic in Orem! We took our 4-month-old baby to Hanger Clinic on June 19 to check his head shape. He was diagnosed with moderate plagiocephaly, and we were told that without insurance, the total cost for the helmet and all follow-up visits would be $2,100. They said we could call our insurance to check our benefits and even provided the procedure code. This clinic has been amazing with helping us out with my daughter’s foot. We have been referred to doctor after doctor and they have been of no help whatsoever. When we were referred to this Hanger clinic in Orem, they have helped us more than any other doctor. They made a brace for her foot and we’ve gone to a fitting and they’ve just been so helpful and so pleasant to work with.
