I have been a left leg BK amputee for 39 years since a terrible motorcycle accident that also left me with right leg neuropathy and a completely rebuilt pelvis with lots of titanium implants. I went to Hanger four months ago to have a new prosthesis made for the first time in 25 years. I know, that's insane. I had a wonderful leg made for me by Bill Sampson in 1999. I cannot say enough to praise Anthony at the central Avenue location in Albany, New York. He is professional, friendly And would not stop until the braces fit me perfectly. My left leg And foot were quite a challenge. We had to go through several iterations. Never once, did Anthony Lose his friendliness and professionalism. Thank you!
Hanger bought out Sampson’s Prosthetic on Central Ave in Schenectady. Hanger now refuses to appropriately send my medical records to my new prosthetic provider! I’ve heard so many bad things about Hanger locally and now I’ve witnessed how incompetent they are on such a minor matter! It’s very important to me however as I need services. Stay far away from Hanger!!!
I am 83 years old. Because of an amputation I had to relocate from my home in Hampton, VA to live with my son in Buffalo, NY. I was very unhappy about leaving the Hanger Clinic in Newport News, VA where I had been treated professionally and kindly for over a year. I know now that I shouldn’t have worried. My husband was fitted for Afo Spiral leg braces. Anthony was professional and extremely respectful as he worked with my husband. He explained the fitting as he worked with him. The staff behind the scenes were equally professional and kind. We were very impressed with the experience.
