Yummy! What a delight on a a hot summer day! The ice cream is out of this world. Handels have a large variety of ice cream flavors to choose from. You will not be disappointed if you visit Handels.
Mmmm, Mmmm Good! What a treat! Handel's homemade ice cream is a must visit when in York County! They had divine ice cream in a bazillion flavors served any way you want it - cone, dish, sundae, etc. My favorite is a plain ol' vanilla waffle cone! Always packed during the summer, but well worth the wait in line! Clean with ample parking and right along route 74 south. PROS: The best homemade ice cream in York County! CONS: Always busy...
A nice ice cream place Handels on Turney Road is the closest ice cream place to me, so I go there pretty often. Their not as good as Honey Hut to me, but they are a lot closer which is why I go there more. They have very good milkshakes, which is my favorite thing to get. The prices low and the employees are nice. Parking is also very nice, although it can be tough to get back out on to Turney Road if you are turning left since there is no traffic light.
:) yummyyyy I have worked at Handel's for the past 3 years and the only reason I have stayed for so long is because the ice cream is so good. The environment is sood for everyone. There is a playground/park down the sidewalk for the kids and benches for the adults to sit and chat.
OMG So delicious! I went here based off of word of mouth and was REALLY pleased. I like the true "ice cream stand" atmosphere, and the place was packed which told me the product must be good. I will be back...I thought it was delicious!
Good ice-cream! What a great place to get ice-cream!! The ice-cream selections and combinations are fantastic, soooo good. I would tell everyone to go here! It is one of the first places I went in Columbus for ice-cream, and I plan to go back next summer!
Handmade Ice Cream and Yogurt Reasonably priced, offers outdoor benches for seating only with window service. Does not serve food other than ice cream and yogurt. Cash only business. Does offer ice cream cakes and pies. Coupons regularly available in local mailers.
Service could be quicker We go to all the Handel's (Akron and Canton) and the ice cream is the same good quality at every location. This is our least favorite one, though, because the servers are s-l-o-w.
Gotta Have TheThin Mint! I don't think there is a Handel's flavor I have not liked but the Thin Mint is out of this world. When girl scout cookie time rolls around I make sure to get to Handel's and stock up up the Thin Mint ice cream since thats the only time they have it.
