Hancock Recreation Center on E. 41st Street is one of those quietly wonderful city resources that deserves a lot more credit. Nestled right next to the Hancock Golf Course, the center offers a ballroom with hardwood floors, a kitchen, classrooms, an outdoor basketball court, a covered playground, picnic tables, and a small sports field — all at very affordable, city-run prices.
