The initial room we were given had a strong chemical order with an underlying urine type odor. We requested a different room the staff was very accommodating and gave us a different room that was much better. The breakfast the following morning left a lot to be desired. Whomever had mixed the waffle batter did not do it correctly and the waffles were mushy in the middle even after baking. Both light and dark roast coffee ran out. We've been staying at this hotel for a number of years now around Christmas time and have always enjoyed our stay. It's a hotel with a nice pool, friendly staff, and decent breakfast options. It's also close to everything, including restaurants, stores, and the mall. That being said, we must have hit a rough spot for our stay this summer. Barking dogs at night, a room that smelled like dog which makes me question how deeply they clean between each stay, and peeling paint on the walls.
