It was being remodeled so...meh. Pool closed 😒 Good location in an older local part of town. This is adjacent to the I-5 but the soundproofing is great. I had an official suite (2 big screens!) and got to see the sun drop into the Pacific. Not bad for an unplanned stop and reasonably priced.

They over charged me for my room and when I called to sort out why they were charging me a couple hundred dollars more then what was on my itemized receipt they claimed that there was nothing they could do because on their end everything added up. As if I could not see the money being taken from my bank account. Will never ever stay here again.

When booking this room there was a notification that the property was under renovation. No problem, I don’t mind a little dust and noise at appropriate hours. I have stayed several times in the past year at a Fairfield Inn (Marriott) under construction but they did a much better job at setting expectations. What I didn’t expect upon arrival was a good amount of parking taken up by construction materials and possibly construction vehicles. Hotel is currently under construction. No pool, no spa, no dining room, no gym, and loud noises throughout the day. Breakfast is a bag of stuff thrown together because the dining room is closed. TV lost service day one and it never worked again thankful the room has another TV in the sitting are. Laundry facilities were not working. Washing machine worked but both dryers would not work so had to walk to the local laundry mat to dry my clothes. Not a good experience. This is my usual go to hotel when in town.
