The hotel lobby furniture and rug are quite worn and stained. They need to be replaced. The front service desk employee was very friendly and made me feel welcome. My room was very nice and it was clean. They responded properly to my request for a pen and brought them right to my room. I was really looking forward to the outdoor hot tub but I just couldn't get past all the spiders on the windows above my head. We love the western shorelines of Michigan! However, this was our first time in Manistee. This particular Hampton Inn is a well maintained property that sits right on the beach. Phoenix, one of the Hampton Inn employees, was particularly personable, friendly and a real pleasure to chat with, during our stay. She was a "gold mine" of information (sights, restaurants, etc) during our time in Manistee and surrounding areas.
