Called ahead to confirm there was a restraunt and bar, was told yes. Showed up and the resteraunt was closed. Got back from eating downtown and was told the bar was closed. Paid $213 for a self contained night and ended up having to go out anyway. Wouldve stayed at the best western if i knew id have to leave anyway.

Our first time in Manistee and the hotel was great. The best Hampton we have stayed in by far. Very clean, the room was super comfortable, and I particularly liked the walk in shower and that hand soap was provided along with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. We met some nice people while having a drink sitting next to the fire pits. In the morning we took a walk with our coffee out on the fishing pier, and later drove over to the lighthouse. We have stayed here several times and loved it; however, this stay was quite different. After dinner, we discovered that our refrigerator was not working. We asked for assistance and were offered a bag of ice- no offerings to replace the fridge or switch rooms. Our yummy leftovers spoiled by morning. But it gets better… This is a pet-friendly facility now. While I love dogs, I don’t love waking up to other people’s dogs at 7am.
