Kingman. A crossroads in the desert. Dust, neon, and silence. I came here needing rest, not questions. The Hampton Inn gave me that. The lobby lights were low, the air calm. The staff—polite, efficient, the kind of people who understand that sometimes a man just needs a room. No chatter, no judgment. Just a keycard and a nod. That’s all I wanted. That’s all they gave.
