The location near Johnson Space Center is excellent, with tons of restaurants, shopping, and easy access to downtown Houston. But several ongoing issues made it hard to enjoy. My family of five booked a suite for the weekend. We arrived at the hotel around 10:30 PM and were informed by a very kind and apologetic front desk employee that our room had a water leak and we had been rebooked in a standard King room. With three kids, this was not ideal, but it was late and we were tired from traveling so we accepted the change. Things happen, I understand. This hotel is terrible. I should have known when outside the elevator on floor 2 there was a wet vac sitting there. I woke up sweating as the wall AC unit was blowing warm when set at 68*. My boyfriend woke up at 3am feeling fleas or bed bugs or something jumping through his leg hairs. We packed up an entire cart of belongings (we are waiting to move into a house) at that time and had to move over to another hotel. We had booked 2 nights and this was night 1. It was under remodel while we were there. They had to shut off the water. We ended up with no hot water and the water was brown with debris in it. We used bottled water to brush our teeth. The lobby and halls were very dirty from the construction and you could tell wasn’t cleaned over night.
