Really upset. I have been to this hotel many times. I made a reservation two weeks ago and tried checking in online through the app. Wouldn't let me choose a room, so I tried chatting and no response. I called and they said they were sold out and don't have a room for me. Why do I have a reservation if you cannot fulfill it? Now I had to cancel our family trip. Very upset. What really upsets me several days later is that no one at Hilton cares about this BAD experience!!!!! I am a diamond member.
This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have ever experienced. We were given the wrong room, and it did not have the space or balcony/view that we were expecting and had been told we would receive. We were assured that we would be moved to the correct room, but later we were told the hotel was sold out and there was nothing they could do. The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. If you check in late, be aware that Denisha may cancel your reservation without notice or explanation. After driving over five hours, I arrived exhausted only to be treated with a complete lack of empathy or professionalism. Since she represents the hotel, this reflects poorly on the hotel’s customer service culture. I will be escalating this matter to upper management and corporate leadership.
We stay at this hotel every summer, and it has become one of our favorite places in Galveston. The staff is always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They make us feel at home every time we visit. Before arriving, I read some reviews mentioning a bad smell, so I was a little concerned. Thankfully, that was not our experience at all.
