If you check in late, be aware that Denisha may cancel your reservation without notice or explanation. After driving over five hours, I arrived exhausted only to be treated with a complete lack of empathy or professionalism. Since she represents the hotel, this reflects poorly on the hotel’s customer service culture. I will be escalating this matter to upper management and corporate leadership.
We stay at this hotel every summer, and it has become one of our favorite places in Galveston. The staff is always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They make us feel at home every time we visit. Before arriving, I read some reviews mentioning a bad smell, so I was a little concerned. Thankfully, that was not our experience at all. This was a super convenient location! Walking distance to a Walmart across the street (there is a pizza slice truck in the parking lot) and easy accessibility to reach the beach! Parking fills up relatively quickly. Elevator from parking garage to upper hotel is so slow. This can suck during prime times kf check-in/out, or breakfast. the elevator lobby on garage floor is an oven during summer months! This is dreadful.
