Spent two nights as an anniversary git-a-way. First morning at 8 am the fire alarm went off. Someone burnt their toast, not hotel's fault BUT THEY COULD HAVE OPENED THE DOORS TO PREVENT FIRE ALARM FORM GOING OFF FOR THREE MINUTES! Second had to virtually beg the breakfast person to put more scrambled eggs out. Third they added a $148.?? charge for a pet fee after charging $75 pet fee, they did remove the $148 fee after it was brought to mgt attention but how did it get on the bill in the first place? Disappointing for a repeat guest. I travel to Fort Myers regularly and maintain diamond status. There has been a noticeable neglect/lowered standards at this property. My major issues from my last stay. Was not acknowledged as Diamond at check in or offered my Diamond perks until I forced the topic. Non functioning air on the 4th floor. Room #455. Great staff and room. Really enjoyed my stay here before heading down to key west! Would definitely book a room here again!
