Absolutely unacceptable experience. After driving for more than 8 hours with my family, we arrived at the hotel only to be told that our reservation had been canceled because they overbooked the rooms. We never received a phone call, email, or any kind of notice before arriving. Leaving guests stranded after a long day of travel is incredibly unprofessional and shows a complete lack of respect for customers. A confirmed reservation should actually mean something. We prepaid for our hotel reservation through Expedia and arrived around midnight, only to be told that the hotel had no rooms available and that they would simply refund us. What is most frustrating is that they never called, emailed, or texted us to let us know they were overbooked. If they had notified us in advance, we could have made other arrangements instead of being stranded late at night. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.
